My architectural journey began in 2004 and has taken me across six continents. I earned a BSc (Hons) from University of Westminster, contributed to large-scale projects worldwide during my tenure at Zaha Hadid Architects, and pursued an MArch in Architecture at UCL, where I spent two years refining my creative thinking abilities. My strength lies in research, design conceptualisation, digital graphic design, CAD and 3D modelling.
Motherhood and Human Development
In 2016, with the arrival of my first child, my desire to understand the developmental framework within education and child development deepened. Today, as a mother of two with a keen interest in neurodiversity, I am actively learning about human development alongside my children, further enhancing my natural ability to connect with them and fostering an environment where they feel supported. My focus became to contribute to young people's learning environments —both physical and digital—that foster creativity, critical thinking, and safeguarding.
Information Systems and Management
Computing and information systems have always been a hobby since an early age. In the late 90s my curiosity for computer architectures, data structures, algorithms and software engineering fundamentals was evident;- as a teenager, HTML website developing became my first freelancing venture. During my final college years I began a successful apprenticeship in Network Management and IT. Istarted a BSc in Information Systems and Management awarded by the University of London in 2007, allowing me to learn general management practice skills, fundamentals of corporate finance and investment appraisal. Since 2018, I have been able to put this knowledge into practice on my current job as a Practice Manager in financial services, demonstrating strong organisational and administrative skills.
About me: Merging worlds
Brazilian born, with a diverse background spanning architecture, technology, management and motherhood, transitioning into a career in education feels like a natural progression for me.
Architecture is not just about buildings; it is about communities, relationships, and the environments that shape human experience. Studying how spaces influence behaviour, well-being, and learning has given me a deep appreciation for the role of surroundings in child development. Just as architecture seeks to create functional and nurturing spaces, education provides the foundation for intellectual and emotional growth.
Beyond the physical environment, I have always been passionate about technology and its transformative role in how we learn, connect, and interact with the world. With a strong foundation in digital tools and computer software, including AI-driven design applications, I see immense potential in integrating technology into education in a meaningful and responsible way. In today’s digital landscape, safeguarding children online is more crucial than ever and I am deeply committed to equipping young learners with the knowledge and tools to navigate technology safely.
By merging my architectural mindset with my expertise in computing, AI, and digital safeguarding, I aspire to create learning environments—both physical and digital—that foster creativity, critical thinking, and security. My goal is to design spaces where children feel safe, supported, and empowered to thrive, whether in the classroom, at home, or in the digital world.
